Hello 2020!

I decided it was time for me to start blogging again. This time though focusing more on my life as a single mom, and going to college.

Last term I took a continuing education class at Lane Community College. The class was a printmaking class. I learned a lot from the instructor, her name is Susan Lowdermilk. Because of this class, I have changed the focus of my studies. This term I am taking a pretty full course load, and will move forward with dual majors in Fine Art focusing on printmaking, and my second major being Ethnic Studies. I hope to narrow down the latter this term with an advisor from the Social Sciences department. My art advisor is pretty fantastic.

Mid December I had a hysterectomy. It was going smooth until I had to start doing more around the home. Living in a home that is part of a program that does inspections all the time is in no way ideal for someone who is supposed to be resting the body, is not ideal. The kids are still overwhelmed with everything, and the threats we have faced still traumatize them. I also accept that my kids currently can not be expected to clean to an outside persons standards, more so when we are dealing with a variety of neurological and psychological conditions.

My fridge is out, between clearing it out and the normal day to day cleaning...I am once again bleeding. Just the other day after prepping for inspection I bled quite a bit and passed a large clot. Doctor ordered rest. What is that with no real support here? At least most of my class time will be sitting.
